Sample cover letter for Internship position at Credit Suisse

POSITION:

Intern

Dear Sir/Madam,

As a current Lomonosov Moscow State University student, I would like to be considered for your 6-week cross-divisional summer program. After attending Credit Suisse presentation for students last autumn, that was hosted by Bank’s executives, I was really impressed by exciting career opportunities that your company offers. Through discussions with current employees from Private Banking, Investment Banking and Equity Research departments, I became absolutely convinced that Credit Suisse is a perfect place for ambitious students to get an invaluable insight of the work of one of the world’s leading investment banks.

While studying at MSU, I have gained a good theoretical knowledge in such fields of economic science as Macroeconomics, Finance, Accounting, International Trade and Econometrics. I also attended meetings at University’s IB Club, where my fellow colleagues and I were discussing recent economic and banking news and shared our opinion on various investment ideas. Moreover, I participated in many student contests and conferences to get a better understanding of the world of modern business and to develop my soft skills. What’s more, I took part in trainings and events of my University’s Debates Club to enhance my communication abilities.

Now I would like to make practical use of my knowledge and skills I have gained in these years at the University. Summer internship at your company is a perfect opportunity to start a brilliant career. Every day of these 6 weeks will be a day, when I can meet best professionals in the industry, deepen my knowledge and get an invaluable experience. I am absolutely convinced that my skills and capabilities will make me a perfect candidate for a position of an intern at your Bank.
