Sample cover letter for Internship position at Credit Suisse

POSITION:

Quantitative analytics

September 29, 2016

Quantitative Summer Institute

Credit Suisse

11 Madison Ave

New York, NY 10010

Dear recruiting manager,

I am writing to express my interest in your company’s Quantitative Summer Institute (QSI), which was posted on Columbia’s Career Website. As a current Applied Analytics student at Columbia University, I possess the required quantitative skills and would be a great fit for this position.

Having successfully led a team of 3 to participate in various mathematical modeling contests and with more than 8 years’ exposure in FX and stock markets, I have equipped myself with both mathematical modeling skills and sharp market sense necessary for QSI program. Having always been a leader in group I mastered the ability to talk with any kind of people and inspire them for the well-being of the whole team.

Credit Suisse’s diverse culture and the global market position make this a great opportunity to hone my business skills, and I look forward to learning more about derivative pricing from QSI’s extensive quantitative classroom training and project assignments. I welcome the opportunity to further discuss how I could help your organization grow and expand. Thank you for your time and consideration.
