In your opinion, what are the main challenges for the Financial Services industry and what are the opportunities for Deutsche Bank in the current economic climate? (Max 150 words)*.
The trend of bank’s mixed operation rendered more liquidity, flexibility and profitability to the industry but also raise the risk when facing systematic risks and market uncertainties. The current regulation system might not have kept up with the pace with the market change and the lack of supervision over high risk financial product magnify the effect. Besides, the excessive use of financial derivatives makes the financial industry deviate from the real economy which increases the potential risks as well.
Facing the strict regulation and low growth rate of local business and fiercer global competition, some revolutions must be carried out to make sustainable growth of the bank which requires the bank to identify the strength of the bank and take advantage of the current technology and human capital to develop a tailored business mode for the Bank rather than only consider expansion to global business.



2. Briefly explain the main role of your division of choice, how it contributes to the Bank and why you are interested in working in this division. (Max 150 words)*.
The corporate finance division provides clients with one-stop service from giving them financial and strategic advice to introducing them financial products and helping them with the merger and acquisition process, debt and equity issuance. The role will help the Bank gain in-depth understanding of different markets and industries which helps the bank give insightful analysis to clients.
The role of associate of corporate finance will provide me with exposure to a variety of high profile clients and help me gain knowledge in different industries which is the most stimulating part for me. On top of it, the job also requires innovation, quantitative analysis, financial modelling, accounting which could help me improve my technical skills along with soft skills.

• I have developed strong communication skills through delivering tutorials to different levels of students and organising cross-discipline research project.
• My education background guarantees my strong numerical and quantitative ability. The experience in PhD helped me build models to simulate the real economy. I have also learned programming by myself.
• The previous experience in working in financial institutions equipped me with good understanding of the market along with the ability to serve clients.

• Regular tennis player and volunteered ATP Master in Shanghai. It helped me gain team spirit when I play double with my partner.
