It is with great enthusiasm that I submit my application materials for the Research Analyst position at Rutgers University, which was posted on linkedin.com. My experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative research through educational coursework and work experience makes me the ideal candidate for this position.

As a Political Research intern for Susquehanna Polling & Research, I have gained first-hand analytical experience by providing day-to-day initiatives independently and as part of a team. During my time as an intern, I assisted the VP of Research with the coordination, facilitation, and advancement of research related priorities and other initiatives as requested by research teams and clients. I processed and analyzed large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data using programs such as IBM SPSS and Microsoft Excel. I also attended PR events on behalf of the company and had the pleasure of representing SP&R at the annual National Federation of Independent Business conference.

My involvement in leadership roles during my time as an undergrad has allowed me to develop additional skills that would be useful to the internship. As a resident assistant, my interaction with diverse students has strengthened my communication skills. Administrative work such as programming proposals and bi-weekly meetings with my supervisor demonstrated my ability to effectively interact with individuals at senior levels.
