Sample cover letter for Full Time position at Deloitte

Prior to commencing my MSc, I spent two years in investment banking and advisory services at ALFA GCM Limited, where I held an Associate role, and led a 5-person transaction executions and advisory team working directly with our Managing Directors and with client management and executive teams. This experience was vital in developing a sense for what the potential investors wanted to focus on, and fostered my analytical and teamwork skills.

Though my advisory work has helped me develop strong analytical, problem solving and client facing skills, I would like to pursue a career after graduation that furthers my knowledge of accounting and tax, something that I am pursuing at LSE through studying international taxation. I believe that I am a good fit for an Associate position in Deloitte’s Tax and Business Advisory Services Unit, but also because it would allow me to develop both an interest in tax and further my business advisory experience at a major Big 4 firm. I am impressed by Deloitte’s market position in advisory, and look forward to potentially joining and contributing to the Deloitte Hong Kong team.
