After attending multiple events such as the Deloitte corporate presentation, Deloitte Tech presentation, the coffee chat with Mr. G  at Consulting Forum, I gained an invaluable knowledge of Deloitte’s Technology Practice and its commitment to solve intricate IT issues with a structured approach. When Mr. D explained one of his prior client engagements involving IT consolidation after a merger, and when Mr. G talked about client needs of aligning IT initiatives with the overall organizational goals, it really showed the meaningful and large-scale impact an individual can make at Deloitte. It was also great to know that the culture at Deloitte is extremely supportive and flexible.

My intellectual curiosity and passion for technology have always worked as catalysts to achieve successful and measurable results throughout my career in the information technology space. Working as a Senior Software Consultant for XYZ Corporation to assist with cost-cutting initiatives during the bankruptcy process, I improved my leadership and problem solving skills by planning and implementing creative solutions. For example, I conceptualized a process to convert a manual invoice scanning mechanism into an on-demand and fully automated information exchange interface, and also led seven cross-functional teams to implement it successfully. The emergence of XYZ from the bankruptcy allowed me to freely innovate existing slow and manual processes to develop automated and lean alternatives, unlocking savings of more than $700K. I was awarded a “Spot Award” for innovating public document sharing process to improve collaboration between employees across multiple divisions.
