Dear Hiring Manager,
As a graduate student pursuing masters in Information Management at Syracuse University, I would like to apply for so and so position with so and so. Advisory Services Practice is a fast-moving, high-growth service area with significant potential. It offers challenge, responsibility and the opportunity that would allow me to realize my leadership potential.
Having worked with Mastek Ltd for a year, I have learned a great deal in respects to information technology. I applied what I learned during my under-graduate studies, but more importantly I gained experience in analyzing policies, procedures, work flow and processes that are unique to Mastek. I collaborated with cross functional teams and successfully generated technological solutions that increased the application performance. I was formally commended by managers and leaders several times, and rewarded with the title of “The Silent Hero” for constantly meeting the estimated deadlines and keeping up the expected performance. This, motivated me to work even harder and reach higher levels.
During my undergraduate studies, I have worked as a leader and coordinator in various projects. I was responsible to assemble my team and delegate work to them to successfully execute all the ideas. This experience helped me to improve my management and leadership skills.
Along with strong analytical and management skills, I have excellent written and verbal communication skills. This helped me to get selected as the Publicity Head for various technical events during my undergraduate studies. This skills got even more polished with all the interactions that I made with the clients at Mastek while presenting iterative demos of software. Currently, as a part of the Business Analyst team for Nanhi Kali, Non-Governmental Organization, I act as a communicator and information source for several fundraising events supporting the cause of educating girl child in India. Other strengths include the ability to thoroughly investigate every aspect of a process and document each phase of software development.
The skills that I have developed from my professional experience, academic background and extracurricular activities support my strong interest in this career. Ever since I decided to pursue advisory as my career, Company has been at the top of my list of prospective employers. With each engagement, I expect to build leadership, communication and client-management skills, as well as sharpen my problem-solving capabilities.
I am confident that my coursework, combined with my experiences outside of the classroom, have prepared me to make a valuable contribution to company.
