I am writing to express my interest in the ‘Quality Engineer II/III(1600007A)’ position with Denso in Californiaand I came to know about this exciting position from your careers website. I have graduated with a degree of Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University on May 20, 2016.
I have worked in the manufacturing industry as a ‘Production Supervisor’. We used to machine on various parts of different engines for Motorenfabrik Hatz GmbH & Co. KG; German diesel engine manufacturer. I worked as a ‘Quality Control Supervisor’ and my job was to conduct 100 % inspection of key parts and take sampling inspection at all machining operations intermittently to make sure we had continuous control over the process and that out of tolerance parts were not being produced. After evaluating my overall performance; they promoted me to the position of ‘Production Supervisor’. I was responsible for meeting customer needs and production target by creating production schedule. I performed failure mode and effect analysis when equipment failed. I used tools of Statistical Process Control such as X bar and R control charts to study the variations in dimensions; resulted in more acceptance of parts; satisfied quality objective of the firm.
Denso is one of the largest global automotive supplier.
