My name is XXXXXX and I am currently a second year BSc Management student at the University of

Warwick (Warwick Business School). I would like to apply to the internship programme CB&S: Corporate Finance

at Deutsche Bank.

Deutsche Bank has a remarkable reputation as a leading bank in Europe, and one that constantly sets the bar for

quality performance, focus on its customers, and integrity. Its strong presence makes it the ideal place to have an

internship. Moreover the corporate finance sector in particular seems especially attractive to me due to my passion

of providing strategic advice and helping others engage in value-adding processes. I believe that my skills and

abilities are in line with the values and principles of the company, and that through this I would have the

opportunity to learn from Deutsche Bank and begin to shape my career.

I find that the goal-oriented nature of this sector and the challenges in it truly appeal to me, and I believe I have the

tools and prerequisites to hone the wide set of skills needed in the sector. From completing the International

Baccalaureate with a very good grade (38) to my banking tailored choice of modules in university, I have been able

to develop and improve a series of skills that make banking my ideal sector; skills such as analytical thinking,

logical reasoning, and common sense.

I have previously completed a summer internship in a Spanish full service mid size international law firm. This

experience gave me an insight to the world of not only the legal sector, but also businesses and their behavior as a

whole. Furthermore, I was expected to use extensive research in order to complete the assigned tasks, a job I not

only found both rewarding and interesting, but also highly relevant to the sector. This is definitely a skill I plan on

using in a banking context.
