Sample cover letter for Internship position at Deutsche bank
intern
I am writing to express my interest in an off-cycle internship starting in June 2016. After speaking with different employees from the DB Paris office during the career fair in January, I was able to gain an insight into the company and learnt the quality and richness of an internship at DB.
What surprised me the most about DB is its unreplicable supportive, truthful, and meritocratic culture. I have learnt that DB expects their employees to be team players that are ethically motivated and have well disciplined problem solving ability. I believe through my developed quantitative background and past experiences, I can effectively demonstrate these attributes in order to work on innovative and challenging team projects.
As part of my undergraduate degree that I obtained with first class honours, I studied a majority of quantitative courses and majored in pure mathematics but also had the opportunity to undertake a Finance track, in which I received awards for outstanding performance and developed the capacity to use my analytical skills in a different context. I am now completing the Grande école program at HEC Paris and planning to specialize in strategic consulting during the last year.
During my experience as a manager for Target, I developed skills to effectively communicate with others, to successfully manage people and deliver results. I have had the opportunity to implement unique solutions, build teams, while also being able to quickly develop requisite specific knowledge.
I also spent a considerable amount of time trying to improve the supply chain of the business, the reporting and managerial methods and discussing it with higher management. Even though that wasn’t part of my duties, I loved implementing new practices to improve aspects of the organization wellbeing.
Thank you for your time and consideration and I look forward to hearing from you and further discussing my qualifications.
