Tighter regulations is a challenge faced by the financial service industry. Heavy investments will be needed in risk monitoring and compliance to ensure these regulations are closely followed. Banks must also look to restore consumer confidence as people have recently lost faith in them. As the financial industry recovers from the UK referendum result, a priority for banks is to maintain as much access as possible to the EU single market after Brexit. A potential loss of pass porting rights is also a risk for banks post Brexit and something banks will have to prepare for. If Deutsche Bank are able provide reassurance about better economic outlook for the UK post Brexit, win over customers, it has a chance of further pulling away from the competition.
