I have been exposed to various engineering concepts in my studies. Through my Technical Communication course, I acquired research skills and developed a report and presented its findings. By constant communication to my colleagues and professors, I was able to strengthen my leadership and interpersonal skills. And also improve my analytical skills through data analysis. In my Engineering Measurements course, my team and I examined numerous case studies to select an ideal sensor. By charting various specifications of the sensors, a justified choice was presented to professors. In another project, my colleagues and I designed and developed a prototype of a device to aid an arthritis patient in fueling a car. Through my lab courses, I was able to identify the importance of safety and possible hazards to the device. As a result, the prototypes developed were largely improved in safety and quality. By structuring and prioritizing my education and various projects, I strengthened my organizational and time management skills.

In addition to my academic experience, my work experiences at Tim Horton`s and Canada`s Wonderland have improved my communication skills through working in a fast paced environment. Furthermore, I volunteered to assist Global Engineering Conference committee at McMaster in setup of the annual conference where I strengthened my planning and administrative skills. In addition, as a student leader at my local high school, I carried out engineering workshops to spark design thinking and problem solving.
