eSports General Editor
To Whom It May Concern,
As a recent college graduate with a bachelor of science in journalism, I am interested in pursuing an online multimedia editing position. The eSports General Editor position is a position I feel will really allow my skills to shine as part of the editing group.
While enrolled at the University of Florida, I gained both educational and professional experience in editing content for the internet. I maintained a strong expertise in editing video and copy for the internet and managing social media accounts while working as a superdesk editor for WUFT, an NPR sister site.
As well as my experience in editing, I have over ten years of HTML experience. During my academic career, I learned to adapt from personal use to use for professional media outlets through an online practicum course, Communications on the Internet.
Perhaps what makes me most qualified for this position is my knowledge and understanding of eSports. While I am not a professional gamer, I have followed the eSports coverage of League of Legends, Hearthstone and other similar games for over five years. I have always been interested in using my journalistic skills to follow eSports on a professional level.
