Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing this letter to express my interest in the Ride Controls Engineering Summer Intern position posted in Linkedin.
At present, I am pursuing my Master of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Duke University. I have a joint Bachelor Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering honored by Birmingham University, United Kingdom and Harbin Institute of Technology, China. Course works and projects at Duke are mainly completed under Linux or Unix system. I have written a Huffman coding file compression program in C++, a QML-based computer game with Qt, and developed a strong object-oriented background along the way. As an undergraduate, I also designed pipelined microprocessors in VHDL, synchronous and asynchronous finite states machines, and a small embedded system for a line-following robot. In coursework for control system design, I have also used Simulink in Matlab to simulate and optimize an MIMO control system in terms of state-space model.
