Sample cover letter for Internship position at Disney
Social Media Intern
I am writing in response to your job posting for a hispanic copywriter. I recently graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in film and journalism. I am excited to have the opportunity to apply for this position at Circus Marketing because I believe that I can bring my knowledge of creative writing and ingenuity to your company.
I am currently writing this from my grandparent’s home in Ocotlan, Jalisco. I have a firm grasp on Mexican culture and all of its traditions. I have grown to incorporate my culture into the stories I tell, as well as the photographs I take. My background in journalism has prepared me for a position such as this one. I have experience writing both hard news and magazine articles. Last summer I had the opportunity of traveling to Mexico City to produce and shoot a documentary regarding immigration, children’s education and child labor laws. It was an amazing experience and it brought me that much closer to my roots. I think I can bring all of these experiences and create great content that fits the Circus Marketing brand.
As you can see from my enclosed resume, I interned with LBI Entertainment, followed by working as a production assistant at Abso-Lutely Productions. Both internships were great preparation for a fast-paced work environment. While interning at LBI Entertainment I mastered the art of producing script notes and coverage. I was responsible for molding my writing into whatever was needed from different executives in the office. Working independently is how I tend to thrive, but I have great people skills and I enjoy getting to work with other creative individuals.
As a copywriter for Circus Marketing I will always put my best foot forward. Writing is something I take very seriously and I hope to make a career out of it. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Sincerely,
