Sample cover letter for Internship position at EDHEC

Deriving from my previous study experience and keen enthusiasm towards Business Management, I would like to apply for esteemed MSc in Marketing Management especially major in Entertainment & Services in order to acquire in-depth understanding about how to deliver high-quality services and how to prosper the company by using social media, etc.

My last year study with EDHEC proved to be fruitful and colorful. During the study in that interactive and engaged environment, I spared no pains to excel myself from all aspects, and obtained a deeper insight into business and management framework. With more devotion to the study, my knowledge base has been significantly enriched and thereby laid a solid foundation for future study and career development.

I am really appreciate that my gap year experience as a member of Human Resources and Training Department at Shangri-La Hotel . As one in Training department, I have plunged myself into departmental training programme and participate innovative key project workshop to solve critical issues happen in the hotel. During the continuous workshop discussion, I have completed 3 projects that improve our external guests and internal colleagues’ satisfaction such as “how might we make guests waiting experience better” and “how might recruit people with fun”.

In this ongoing internship, I am fully in charge of all internal public relation by using traditional publicity channel and social media. I have developed a brand new channel on WeChat public platform for recruitment and staff activities and totally have launched 3 social media channels for internal guests. In addition, I responsible for the publicity design including posters, advertisements for all internal activities

All of my professional experiences related to hospitality industry and this is the industry I am willing to contribute to. My short-term goal is to further my professional competence by join a corporate talent programme related to marketing & communication in a well-known hotel group such as Shangri-La Hotel & Resort to achieve considerable personal development in hospitality industry. In the future, I dream to develop into a successful business leader in hospitality industry and prosper my hotel with advanced marketing skills and create innovative digital marketing channels to deliver excellent services to both external guests and internal colleagues.

The foregoing statements eventually led to my decision of applying for MSc in Marketing management. With my adequate academic preparations, noticeable adaptive capacities, indomitable will and burning desire to reach my potential, I am ready to take full advantage of the opportunity to devote myself to the pursuit of the challengeable but enchanting academic discipline, and will prove to be a worthy candidate in this highly demanding programme. Further study in marketing programme will add wings to the realization of my life goals, and I sincerely hope you will afford me the precious opportunity to get closer to my dream.
