Sample cover letter for Full Time position at EY
Graduate Analyst
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing in order to apply for the Graduate role in Consulting at the London office of Ernst and Young. I am currently a third year undergraduate student at the Oxford University studying Economics and Management.
I have worked in numerous industries and have wide experience. This summer, I worked at Google within the Sales team to identify areas of new opportunity to pursue. This involved looking at a range of companies’ business models and annual reports to analyse any areas where Google could improve. Following this, I wrote a report on the areas of focus for the firm and compiled a database of potential prospects and contacts for the sales and business development team to work with. I also developed commercial awareness and an understanding of how various teams interact in an international firm through attending sales meetings, business reviews and through supporting several teams in marketing and sales initiatives.
I am effective in working with diverse teams and enjoy working with others towards a common goal. I have been working with the Oxford RAG over the past year to organise and manage all their night events. I worked with numerous charities, other members of the RAG team and other university RAGs to co-ordinate and promote events. In addition, I currently work part-time at Waitrose where I interact with a diverse range of customers, contractors and fellow staff.
Through working in Consulting at EY, I will have the opportunity to meet and work with a variety of people within client teams and my own team. The global position of EY and the range of opportunities to drive change has motivated me to apply to EY. Consulting at EY also provides the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the client and the industry involved while also providing the experience for me to grow my skills through both exposure and training.
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
