Object: Personal Statement for the Master In Management – Business Management Track

Since my young age, I am interessed by the business World and all the interactions it creates, which is why I wish to study business management at postgraduate level. I like the fact that we can blossom in an organization and I want to help people to achieve their goals and to give their best.

After two years of a preparatory class, I decided to study Psychology. I started to learn about behaviour and the human mind at the University of Al Manar in Tunisia in 2013. Psychology has taught me all about human interaction and how our minds work. I can say that after my Bachelor, I know much more about people’s behaviour, I can understand now their needs and expectations. I improved my communication skills and developed analysis skills that will help me in my future career.

In order to have a real insight of the business world, I multiplied professional experiences. I had the opportunity to work in different organizations (SME, group, NGO) in an international environment. As a Promotion officer at Aiesec Bahrein, I worked easily with my other colleagues, who were from China, Turkey, France, and Italy thanks to my adaptability and my communication skills. During my internship at Challenge Audit, an accounting firm, in Morocco I took advantage of my sense of organization. I learned Ethics and to be discrete when I was administrative assistant in Nurse Office. I dealed with personal information about the patients and was bound by medical confidentiality. Moreover my current internship at Deloitte Casablanca as Assistant Transformation of the HR function, made me understand the roles played by human resource in tackling human issues and consequently in organizational success.

My career goals and aspirations in obtaining a master’s degree in Business management at EDHEC Business School, more precisely in consultancy, is to acquire the best quality knowledge and practical training that will enable me to make significant contributions towards finding appropriate solutions that will help to examine effective human resource management in both private and public multi-national firms and corporations across the world. I want to work as Human Resource Consultant in a consulting firm as KPMG, Ernst and Young, Price Waterhouse Coopers or Deloitte. I worked hard to get a solid background in Psychology and I would like to obtain a dual skills by studying Management. I have chosen to participate in your postgraduate program at EDHEC Business School because of your academic focus and reputation towards building and maintaining an intellectual stimulating environment that brings

together students from diverse cultural backgrounds to uphold the quest for academic excellence and accomplishment in different career fields. I hope following the Business Management track and obtaining in the last year of MIM in Business Management a double degree with the Msc in Strategy and Organization Consultancy. The major in consultancy will endows me as a future Human Resource consultant, critical thinking and analytical tools designed to help organisations with their toughest missions and challenges. During my gap year, I would like to take advantage of your exchange program portofolio, to spend a semester in the prestigious university of Stockholm School of Economics. Your dynamic career center which centralizes all the opportunities, events, resources and communications aimed at making internships and job research easier and provides a personalized and life time follow up. Moreover EDHEC Business School links with a lot of firms as KPMG, Deloitte in which I hope to work later. With more than 40 000 alumni EDHEC Business School will be a springboard for my professional career.

Finally, I am a committed student who is always willing to learn and I appreciate every opportunity to learn new things or old ones differently. Perhaps some of my greatest attributes is that I am hardworking and inquisitive. With my easy-going personality, I will be able to interact readily with an international community and to contribute positively to the benefit of the cross culture experiences. I will be a dynamic element on the campus. I want to share and continue to experience community life. Part of Develop EDHEC, I could take advantage of my critical thinking and analysis skills when discussing about social issues and help to find solutions. It will be a good training for my future career as HR consultant. Volunteer at Unicef, I hope promoting the events runned by this organisation. Finally, I like being surrounded by children that is why I would like to be part of Vive Les Vacances. It will be for me the opportunity to experience all the aspect of managing a project. In EDHEC Business School I will not only progress at a personal level but also become one step closer to laying the foundation for a successful business future.
