Having carefully considered all the requirements as highlighted on the job posting, I believe my educational background in pharmacy, specifically cardiovascular therapeutics along with my professional experience, makes me an excellent candidate for this position.

I currently serve as an Assistant Professor of . Additionally, for the past 3 years I have served as a course coordinator for the cardiovascular therapeutics course involving approximately 90 students while maintaining an active teaching role in the course and several other courses as assigned.

I maintain an active clinical role as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) at Hospital, a >500 bed academic medical center. As part of the CVICU team, I participate in daily rounds involving cardiologists, cardiology fellows, medical and pharmacy residents and students where I provide expertise focusing on rational use of cardiovascular drug therapy. As a further recognition of my expertise and hard work, I was invited and currently serve on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee of the health system.

I also have extensive experience in research with collaborations with both medical and pharmacy staff. I have served as a mentor on several resident research projects and work from such projects have been presented at major conferences such as the recent ACC Scientific meeting and published in prestigious journals such as Pharmacotherapy. In recognition of my expertise, I have also been invited to provide continuing education and expert lectures and presentations at both regional and national meetings.

My service to the profession is highlighted by my membership of several committees from college level to state level. I currently serve as the President of the  Society of Health-System pharmacists and also a board member and member of the educational affairs committee of the statewide  Society of Health-System pharmacists.

I believe my experience as highlighted above particularly my interaction with medical and pharmacy staff both in academic and clinical settings makes me an ideal candidate for the position.
