To Whom it May Concern,

Becoming a summer intern at Ernst & Young would be an incredible opportunity for me to work with one of the most globalized and productive firms in the world. Not only would I utilize my abstract problem solving abilities to help our clients in whatever situation imaginable, but I would also strive to be one of the most versatile assets to the Ernst & Young team.

I have a number of relevant experiences that are very appropriate to what Ernst & Young is looking for in a candidate. I am currently a junior at the University of Connecticut, pursuing a dual degree in both Economics and Statistics.

Not only have I had these experiences in planning and making connections, but I also have been a tour guide since the end of my freshman year.

This job has taught me to increase my presentation skills immensely, as my job is essentially to sell the University of Connecticut to some of the more competitive students this country has to offer. Being able to think on my feet and answer any question thrown at me about this university is one of the more challenging tasks of being a tour leader, however I have excelled in this area because of my high attention to detail and genuine passion for the place I work.

My experiences with quick thinking do not end here, as I have been involved in multiple case competitions on campus that not only enhance my communication skills, but also my application of general financial principals. All of these experiences show not only my natural intuition, but also my obsession with learning by action.
