Entertainment Liverpool shadowing my father, a senior online lead programmer.
Although it was only for a short period I observed the intricate dynamics of
a team and the responsibilities and qualities required from a lead figure.

This two week Easter placement was an informative introduction to
the laboratory environment and particularly the practice and procedures in
biochemistry and pharmacology. I actively participated in a number of
experiments and assisted in the paperwork and conclusions of these experiments.

MEV Ltd. Electronics Solutions Providers (Work Placement) October 1st – January 25th 2013 Spent 3 months in a small electronic company in an intern type role. Participating in the testing and design of hardware. During this time I completed some Microsoft Office qualifications covering the basic command and shortcuts of each program.
NEXT Retail(Sales Assistant) June 21st - August 5th 2014 Worked a busy NEXT retail branch in Manchester Stanley Green retail park. The busy nature of the store during sales season really helped me explore my ability to work within high pressure situations whilst maintaining an unshakeable level of composure and professionalism.
West Midlands Ambulance Trust (Internship) August 1st– September 15th 2015 Spent a month working on two research projects, one an economic study on the effects of privatisation on the NHS ambulance service, the other an exploration of the relatively untapped revenue stream of medical waste management/transportation. The placement culminated in a presentation to the Trust’s board of directors, as I was made aware recently many of my findings have been taken on board and acted upon.

ACTIVITIES & INTERESTS
Whilst at School, I had extensive prefect responsibilities and tutored younger students in chemistry, as well as participating in the Young Enterprise Project and Young Entrepreneurs Regional Competition. Despite my studies, I also found time to be on the Yearbook Committee and organise a number of charity events. At University I participate as a council member of Investment Society, Economics and Table Top Gaming society, helping to organise events. In addition to this I am also a student representative for my year group and a tutor/welfare mentor for first year Economics students. I have fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office, am PC-savvy and possess a full drivers licence. In my free time, I enjoy sports, am a voracious reader and a keen online gamer.
