Intern
I am writing to apply for the Divisional Spring Internship (Reference xxxxx ) commencing xxxxxxx.
I am currently a student at the xxxxxxxxxx reading Economics and Politics and am in my first year.
Having completed and enjoyed work experience in the financial sector, it has become clear to me that a career in Banking is something that I wish to pursue.
I recently attended the Fidelity Internship Presentation in xxxxxxx and was very impressed with what I learnt about the company’s achievements, values and culture. I was also excited to hear about the opportunities available to work within such a dynamic, creative and diverse environment, and would relish the opportunity to find out more about the business during the Spring Internship.
I have previously undertaken work experience through the xxxxxxx Programme during which I worked as part of a team that designed, produced and sold an xxxxx. I was responsible for the financial aspects of the project and also for liaising with manufacturers. The team was successful at achieving a place at the finals of the competition.
During this project, I was able to develop my teamwork, analytical, negotiation and communication skills as well as gaining valuable entrepreneurial experience.
The Fidelity values of (honesty, trust and openness) are values that resonate with me.
My work experience placement at xxxxxxxx taught me the importance of these values – such as trust and honestly.
At school, I was selected as part the xxxxx Council. As a member of the council, I was responsible for communicating effectively with pupils and senior staff. I was also appointed as a subject mentor for xxxxxxx. For this role, I was required to encourage younger pupils to select xxxxx as a A level option.
As you will see from my CV, I also undertook some virtual work experience at xxxxxxx. This experience gave me xxxxxxxx .Not only did I learn about the content of specific roles in different business areas, but I also gained an understanding about what is important for employees within these business areas
