Sample cover letter for Internship position at Fonesalesman

I am currently a Bsc Management student at the University of Bath and I am writing to apply for the Digital Marketing Internship at Fonesalesman. In the following letter, I would like to indicate reasons why I can be a great fit for the role.

First of all, I possess the relevant work experience for the job, having worked as a Digital Media Coordinator at Diverbo, a language school in summer 2014. The internship has provided me with a grasp of social media management in a professional setting, which will also allow me to work effectively at your company. At Diverbo, I was able to responsible for maintaining social media platforms. By writing content of the blog using specific key words and phrases, I was able to optimize users’ search for the company web page, leading to an increase of 2,000 entries per week. Recognised for my innovative and pro-active work ethics, I was asked by the Marketing Manager to provide basic training for fellow coordinators. If accepted to work for your company, I promise to deliver high standard of work and bring new ideas to the table.

In addition, I am also the Co-Founder of a student-led review website, Uniview. In my first three months at university, I spotted that a lack of sufficient information about accommodation has left many students in a housing crisis. As a strong believer in the power of words and social media, I took the initiative to start-up UniView, which allows students to share first hand experience about their accommodations. To bring this idea to life, my responsibilities have ranged from market research, pitching to stakeholders to marketing, which has been an incredible on-the-job learning experience.

My main motivation for applying for this internship opportunity is that I am a huge

fan of start-up companies such as Fonesalesman. Being an aspiring founder of a new company myself, I understand first-hand the sheer amount of hard work and dedication needed to grow a company. As the current Producer of Bath Media Society, I am thrilled about the opportunity to create real-life content for your company. Overall, I believe my strong passion for social media, relevant work experience and work ethics are my unique selling points for the role.
