Sample cover letter for Full Time position at Free People

Dear Sarah,

I would love to be a part of the Free People team this summer as a sales associate and as a team stylist. I previously worked for Anthropologie two summers ago, so I would love to have that experience once again to join the URBN company culture. I have always been very interested and fascinated with the fashion world. In October 2015, I had the incredible opportunity to be a part of San Diego Fashion Week. It was a crazy and hectic weekend, to say the least, but I did learn a lot about the logistics behind planning fashion week, and I also received a lot of insight into the currently trending looks and styles in the industry.

As I am nearing the end of my second semester of my junior year, I currently hold two journalism internships and I am also the Editor-in-Chief for the San Diego State Odyssey community. One of the internships I am involved in is called CollegeFashionista. I get the opportunity to go out on my campus and capture student’s looks. I see what is currently trending amongst the people on my campus, and I also get to combine my love for journalism with my interest in fashion, which is one of my favorite parts about this internship. Although my career goals don’t necessarily align with fashion, I will always hold a special place in my heart for this breathtaking world.

I’m a team player and a team leader. I understand the strength of a team and have worked on both committees and boards where I learned to collaborate with others for one common goal. I would love to use my working knowledge of fashion and apply those skills to my position as a team member at Free People this summer.
