I am very excited about the possibility of joining the software engineering unit of Palantir in the position of an intern. The notion that even minimal technological advances can influence worldwide change had initially triggered my interest in Computer Science; thus I pursued the topic further in order to embrace the constantly progressing world through the eyes of a Computer Scientist. Currently, I am a second year student at the University of Warwick, with the aspiration to develop my career in the technological profession. With instant exposure to various departments and clients, there is no better place to build comprehensive knowledge of the inner workings of such a reputable firm than an internship at Palantir.

My enthusiasm for pursuing this position stems from a piece of coursework that I have recently produced. It required the implementation of a backend interpreter of an imperative programming language. The position of an intern at Palantir caught my eye due to the strong focus on software engineering. It has become evident to me how significant the role of Computer Science plays in our society as advances in technology are continuously opening new doors to revolutions in numerous fields. The underlying motive for the accounting product captivated me and I believe it compliments my skill set. As an inquisitive person, I am dedicated to finding solutions to a plethora of questions, but as in Mathematics there are different methods of reaching such solutions. I relish the challenge of discovering these methods and techniques through formulating answers with my existing knowledge of computer and mathematics combined. With a strong foundation formed through both the relations with clients and the strength of the product, I know that FreeAgent will pose a number of challenges- enabling me to build my knowledge and character.
