To Whom It May Concern:
I am interested in applying for the entry level Financial Management Program offered at GE. After researching your website, this program most closely matches my career interests. GE’s reputation for unique training opportunities coupled with the program’s hands-on approach will allow me to immediately apply my financial knowledge to real world scenarios.
I meet all of the minimum criteria that you indicate, as I will be graduating magna cum laude this spring and have less than one-year full time work experience. In addition, I meet the majority of the preferred criteria that you desire. While I am not graduating with a major specifically in Finance or Business, my degree in Psychology supplemented with coursework in Accounting (Financial and Managerial), Computer Programming, Calculus and Statistics uniquely qualifies me for your program. Through the study of psychology, I have gained the knowledge necessary to understand and analyze the underlying meanings of people’s thoughts, actions, and behaviors. My analytical skills developed with my additional coursework gives me the ability to recognize conflicts, attitudes, and motivation of fellow employees.
Mentoring with Big Brothers/Big Sisters and volunteering with the Waterford Country School have also provided me with the leadership skills necessary to be a team leader and motivate others. My communication skills allow me to speak with ease and confidence in front of large groups.
My resume is enclosed for your review. Again, let me stress my sincere interest in this program and in GE. I am looking to begin my career in a company that will offer growth potential to those willing to work hard and work smart. Thank you for your consideration of my application. I look forward to hearing from you regarding the possibility of an interview. I can be reached at (860) 000-000
Sincerely,
M. Student
