Dear Sir and Madam,
My name is xxxxx and I am writing in response to your job vacancy that I have got from the mailing list requesting applicant for a communication assistant. I would like to apply for this position as it precisely fits my education background as a communication studies graduate and my work experiences in communication field.
Communication, specifically journalism and public relations, has been my passion since I was in junior high school. From writing personal journal, speaking in front of public as a master of ceremony, till dreaming to be a journalist. When it was time for me to go to college, communication was on my first priority. So I decided to take Communication Studies at Universitas Padjadjaran Bandung, Indonesia, and chose Journalism as my major. As time went by, I confirmed my belief that this is a career which will not only fulfill my passion, but also as a platform to improve my social responsibility.
I am very keen to work for GIZ because of your reputation as a global service provider for the sustainable development, especially in social development, environment and climate change , and economic development. I am also interested to work for GIZ because of your commitment to empower people to shape their own development processes.
As you will see from my enclosed CV, I have gained a wide variety of both transferable and specific skills, which relate to working in your company. My work experience as a head of social media department in OZ Radio Bandung gave me an invaluable insight into the new media prosess; from maintaining the website till manage social media accounts. My time at Mahana Live required me to handle public relations duties, from arranging the press conferences till maintaining the relationship with media. Initiating action, managing work, and public speaking were required. My experience as a voluntary teacher in rural area gave me the new perspectives about community development. The program taught me to be more responsibility to my society.
