Financial Analyst
Dear Sir or Madame,
I write to express my interest in consideration for the Financial Analyst position for the Gap. I recently graduated from the XXX with a Masters in Finance degree with an economic specialization, while my undergraduate degree is in mathematics from XXX.
I have spent the last year interning with the XXX as a Financial Analyst. While there I have had the opportunity to conduct financial modeling, variance analysis, due diligence on investments of $10K to $1M made by city agencies, provide support for the development of the 2016 and 2017 city budget, as well as interact with Mayor XXX and several of the current City Council members of the City of XXX.
My coursework in economics and finance has allowed me to utilize a variety of software programs, such as STATA, SAS, and SQL, to analyze financial and economic data as well as study stochastic modeling techniques that are relevant to financial forecasting and modeling. I also have a working knowledge of Microsoft Access, CapitalIQ, Bloomberg and several ERP systems such as Oracle and Sales Force.
In addition, I have the diverse experience of being a former math teacher for the XXX School District that has made me an adaptable and dynamic individual capable of problem solving at every level as well as communicating complex ideas in a simple and easy to understand manner. I possess strong written, oral and time-management skills, as well as an unwavering professionalism and understanding of customer service, that has allowed me to succeed in fast-paced work environments.
Along with being a big team player and a self-motivated worker, I am a high-energy, interpersonal individual with a positive attitude and a good sense of humor. My attention to detail and organizational skills are exceptional. I am a diligent worker with upstanding judgment and ethics, who will ultimately dedicate all my time and energy to my success as a Financial Analyst for XXX.
