Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my interest in the position of Project Associate at athenahealth. During my research on the company, I was truly impressed by the level of commitment athenahealth puts into helping its clients overcome their problems by developing excellent solutions for their healthcare needs. I was particularly intrigued by the wide range of Solutions and products that athenahealth offers, ranging from its unique EHR to its Patient access and Coordination solutions. Considering my passion for healthcare consulting, I am really interested in this role since I strongly feel I’ll be a great fit for this position.

All my past experiences involved collaborating with clients on a day-to-day basis and assisting them in overcoming their business problems by using cutting-edge technology. My internship at Vertex Pharmaceuticals during summer 2015 gave me a broad exposure to the field of health care analytics, where I performed a wide range of duties right from interacting with clients to understand their business issues to developing creative, economic solutions for their needs using cutting edge technical tools. I served as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors and various other project stakeholders, which provided me an in depth understanding of gathering and analysing confidential healthcare data. Having been in charge of collaborating with stakeholders from over four different countries for managing the time, cost and scope of the assigned projects, I have also gained experience in managing the technical intricacies of complex projects.

In addition to my professional experiences, my academic projects at New York University involved rigorous market research and fieldwork in terms of designing questionnaires, interviewing employees and using the right questions to extract valuable data from multiple sources. It was through these projects that I got an understanding of various business analytics tools, and how these tools can be used in solving challenging, real world issues.

As a Project Associate at athenahealth, I’d be able to leverage my experiences in Project Management and my analytical skills to help the company design innovative solutions for its clients, and I am truly excited at the possibility of joining athenahealth after graduation.
