Dear Hiring Manager,

I write this letter to convey my interest in Summer Internship position at your firm. I am first year MBA student with concentration in Entrepreneurship at the University of Arizona. I have my undergraduate degree in Engineering with major in Information Technology. And I worked with a consultancy firm. This background in technology and consulting has driven my career and I want to continue working in these fields. I am interested in this position because it describes exactly where I want to restart my career. I find myself suitable for this position due to my skill set and experience and I believe I would add great value to the firm from this position.

Given my experience in the Information Technology field, I have a critical way of thinking that will prove to be useful in the growth of the firm. My last position required me to be analytical, result oriented, team player and communicate effectively. For instance, while I was working on re-design of a web application I came across a data query that took 2 minutes and 17 seconds to complete. I thought of way to reduce the turnaround time. I implemented the procedure and managed to save 50% of server time. My proactive initiatives where always appreciated and it also saved thousands of dollars for the client. These are the qualities I have developed and will bring with me to your firm.
