It is with great interest that I reach out to you regarding your analyst Internship. I am in my first year of my Masters in Resource Economics. I have a passion for working with numbers and will be focusing on the subject of econometrics. I am confident my work experience and courses have prepared me to excel in your “Intern-Analyst-DAS” position at GroupM.

Attached is my resume where you will see I was part of the Asset Management Department for a large corporation named, RXR Realty. I worked with excel on a daily basis using functions such as V-lookup to assist financial analysts in creating multiple financial reports. Currently I am a Teacher’s Assistant at UMass for statistics. I attend the Team-Based Learning classes and guide students through data manipulation on Microsoft Excel—a number of students have never used Excel. I also help students with their projects to prove a research question using Excel, inferential statistic and a data set provided to them. I have taken Econometrics in which we learned regression analysis and how to tackle problems when estimating models when using SAS (Statistical Analysis Software). This semester I am enrolled in four graduate classes including Quantitative Methods. The course focuses on probability theory and inferential statistics. It is a building block to understanding estimation and statistical inference to then use in econometric analysis.

Professors, supervisors and baseball coaches have commended me for working hard—I am willing to put in the extra effort to do well. They have praised my teamwork and efforts in addition to having time management skills and being organized. I have learned to work well with others from playing on a collegiate baseball team, enrolling in Team-Based Learning courses, and working in groups and one-on-one projects with individuals where English is their second language.

I find it an amazing accomplishment that GroupM is the largest advertising media company in the world. GroupM is a worldwide company that has won awards from all over. The team in Asia collected 12 accolades in 2016 and in 2013 Nestle awarded the group in USA for their outstanding work. These and other feats are milestones to be proud of.
