Am pursing a Masters degree in International Development and Gender at Roskilde University Denmark in conjunction with Sana University. I currently work as a Capacity building and Communication adviser under the Sustainable Development thematic focus with Progressio Somaliland. I have extensive experience that stretches over fifteen years, in different areas of development and humanitarian fields respectively.Am familiar with the humanitarian contexts as I have worked in Yemen for the last three years, complementing my experience from South East Asia and Africa has added value to my experience. I have worked in various career postings from which I have accumulated my experience.As a very passionate person about my work, I do have proven experience project support and management, Appraisal, Monitoring and Evaluation of partners staff and projects, administration, Organisational Development, project planning and partnership management on top of fundraising, Donor liaison and networking. As part of my duties in my career path,I have managed correspondences with international donor groups and coordinated and managed UN think tanks at national level. Am an active member of various working groups like Food security, Education, WASH and Early recovery cluster formations. I have managed several sections the major being Capacity building, finance, implementation accountabilities for projects and ensured proper organization visibility respectively. I thrive in situations in which I can use my creativity, strong personality and flexibility, to produce positive results while working with multinational project teams. I have managed various teams over the period of my career nurturing them to growth and adoption to multi tasking, streamlining, tracking and analysis for running projects and proposed ones.Am good at setting priorities in my work, which helps me to be a more organized and a focused person.
