Sample cover letter for Internship position at HSBC
Assistant
Respected HR Head,
This enthusiastic and curious law student is requesting to you via this email for a month long internship (from 21st of December to 21st of January) at Gurgaon Office of Kaden Boriss
My CV lists my accomplishments, but this is not who I am, only what I have done. I am a passionate person who cares about what I do, and I care about what the people around me do.
During my internship at XXXX I worked on various issues related to IPR. I drafted applications for the registration of Trade Marks. I also researched on IPAB orders on ‘No Objection Certificate (NOC)’ requirement under Section 45 of Copyright Act and filing of TM-60. This internship gave me a chance to directly work under Mr. Pranit K. Nanavati who is partner at the firm and I had learned a lot from his experience. I was also XXXXXXX Debate 2014. I have worked as XXXXXXX on IP related issues for more than 8 months. In addition to this, I was also selected for the Summer School organized by the WIPO (2014) on IPR.
I am a very active person who loves to be surrounded by work. I present research papers in National and International conferences, participate in debates, publish articles on my LinkedIn profile, do additional courses from various institutes like IIAM, FICCI, WIPO etc., and have also won Gold medals in National Sports Tournaments.
I also have a very deep inclination towards Dispute Resolution Mechanisms (Specifically Negotiation and Mediation) from the very beginning of my law school journey. The Negotiation course which I am doing from University of Michigan, USA has also been significant in developing my interest. As far as the development of substantive knowledge on the subject of my interest is concerned, I have always been ahead of my batch-mates. And for this, I have taken help of technology and freedom of internet. I enrolled myself in a half year long Distance Leaning ADR Course from Indian Institute of Arbitration and Mediation.
I believe that this domain of law and practice suits my personality as I am a very problem solving oriented person and therefore I am determined to make a serious and fruitful career in it. If I am provided this internship and opportunity to learn more about the practical aspects of Dispute Resolution then it would be of a great help in my determined life.
I have enclosed my CV with this email and if you need any clarification or information then please feel free to contact me.
Waiting for an affirmative response as this opportunity means a lot to me.
