I am Vutukuri Sai Venkatesh currently pursuing MSc. Supply Chain Management & Logistics at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The nature of my masters prepared me a great deal to be excellent in the field in Supply Chain Management and Logistics Management. Henkel as an organisation which has great purchasing power in the industry with the Purcasing budgets ransing in Billions of dollars I strongly believe that the Purchasing Intern role with Henkel with give me a great exposure to different purchasing scenarios and helps my experience to add value and learn from it.

During my role as SCM Engineer with Rexam Healthcare has enriched my knowledge in various facets like Global Sourcing, ERP Implementations, MRP requisitions, Inventory management and control, MPS of machines, Logistics planning & fleet management and also effectively using sub-contractors thus achieving high customer service level rate. Generated 25M INR in cost savings by developing localised vendors and Introduced new packaging spec allowing an increase of 22% increase volume in a 40 Ft FCL container also worked in improving the network for flow of unprocessed goods in production and assembly facilities and Generated savings of 60M INR annually by introducing bidding system in leveraging the Freight forwarders and their services. I took a great interest to participate with the management for making Annual Financial budget for Supply Chain Spend. My role as Purchase Engineer with Eclipse later where I mainly focussed to improvise my negotiating skills on Global souring with my involvement in parallel trading in Intra Europe and managed to work on improvising the logistics networks for LCL shipments also worked closely and provided user requirements to IT development team for new MRP management tool creation. Lead a project resulted in decreasing the transit time by 28% for all temperature controlled deliveries for all EU parallel trades.
