Dear Sir/Madam,

I am an Agricultural professional who majored in Horticultural science and Agronomy. I am seeking employment within your organisation. I’m extremely ambitious and I seek greater challenges in life and in my career. I use my abilities to their fullest potential and in return I get rewarded with the acquirement of newer skills. I love learning and don't believe in giving up.

I have worked extensively with avocado fruit during my studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (Pietermaritzburg) where I did my master's degree researching the effects of post-harvest silicon application on 'Hass' avocado fruit physiology. My research was published in the ISHS Acta Horticulturae in 2009 and in the SAAGA yearbook in 2010.

My work experience includes working at LA Visagie & Seuns as an assistant production manager where I worked on a fixed-term contract. My job was to assist the tomato production manager with the planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes. We had to ensure that goods and services were produced efficiently and at the correct amounts. I also worked at Lima Rural development foundation (local NGO) as a Zone Manager managing agricultural and rural development projects in Mpumalanga and Limpopo provinces. My duties entailed providing support to small-holder vegetable farmers through the provision of technical advice and agribusiness development.

I have an MScAgric degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and I am a member of the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP). I believe that my skills will contribute positively to your organisation.
