I have enclosed my CV in my online application for the job advertised on your website as ‘Commercial Graduates - 2016’.

I believe that I am a suitable candidate for this position as I am currently a master’s student studying Virtualization of Foundry engineering at XXX University, however the unique contribution I can bring to the INEOS team is the ability to merge business, optimization engineering and design.

I have worked as a fund manager at one of the biggest student run organizations worldwide, this equipped me with knowledge in capital acquisition and strategic planning. Following the completion of my undergraduate degree, I worked as a lead design engineer in the building services unit of a large scale global engineering consulting company. I had the opportunity to develop my communication and presentation skills as well as my practical design and problem solving skills working on projects in Southern, Western and Eastern Africa. I was tasked with interfacing multiple services whilst working efficiently and effectively under time constrained conditions in environments with limited resources. Each project presented its own unique challenges and allowed me to interact and formulate design solutions with engineers from different disciplines, architects, project managers and key stakeholders in the financial managing of the projects. My current degree is centered on the optimization of assembly line foundry processes for high quality, large scale production castings which has harnessed my drive for innovation and risk and time management.

I had the opportunity to combine these skills when I became part of a team tasked with organizing, funding and running the Youth2Youth Summit 2016. I was able to organize and delegate tasks based on principles learnt during my time as a design engineer and strategically assign funds to these tasks drawing on skills learnt during my time as a fund manager. Following this, our team was able to acquire funding and coordinate the bringing together of over 100 individuals from 30 different countries and cultural backgrounds.
