I am a young, motivated and efficient individual, studying Industrial Economics at the University of Nottingham. I am writing this letter to apply to do work experience at the ING office in London. I’m very keen to do this experience as im sure I will learn a lot during the experience

The nature of my degree course has prepared me for this position. It has developed my cognitive skills of critical thinking, analysis and synthesis through independent research and self-motivation. More over group work within the course has made my oral and communication skills much more effective.

I am interested in working in wholesale banking, due to the aspect of raising finance. Wholesale banking deals with large financial institutions and when giving a loan to the business it would require large amounts of cash. The creative thinking behind raising the capital needed is what attracts me to wholesale banking, because there can be many different ways of raising the capital, but it requires good analytical skills in order to make sure the deal is worthwhile for the wholesale bank.

I would like to attend work experience at ING. I believe that the skills and experience I will gain from the work experience at ING will develop my ability to work in such a competitive and fast paced environment. Moreover working at ING will help manage my own career, and will give me a good stepping stone into the commercial banking industry.

I would be very grateful for the opportunity to do work experience at ING.
