Dear ,
I am writing to apply for the position 2015 part time assistant of data analysis and market research. Duo to several reasons, this year is my gap year. Perhaps it’s a negative factor, but I think I better let you know this fact in order to make a decision and I will continue my further education in Imperial College next year.
When I was the Head of External Cooperation Department in Student Career Development Association, I had several opportunities to communicate closely with consultants. Marketing is my deep interest and I am impressed that the sole focus of Ipsos is survey-based market research. I believe that the Ipsos has the ideal culture in which to pursue my goal of becoming a strategic consultant and thinker.
My experience and University of education prepare me to be successful at the Ipsos. Leading a team to build relationship with more enterprises gave me invaluable negotiation experience. I with my team tried in various ways, e.g. by emails, by cold calls, by visiting office or information session, to get in touch with manager and to let them know the unprecedented education system of our university. After two years, my team stacked up achievements. We established several long-team cooperation relationship for internships and career advisors with PwC, Deloitte, HSBC, Sam Sung, ICAEW and BOSCH, etc. Moreover, there were also some partnerships for academic studies, such as our EEE Department with BOSCH, our business school with several drug companies. Simultaneously, as the president of Art Training Center, my leadership, the approach to problem solving and analysis were instrumental in helping to keep these communication and teamwork channels open among relative communities.
While in BoC as an assistant consultant, dealing with financial product gave me experience in the consultative and client service approach. As an intern in the Founder Securities, I combined the academic knowledge I have gained from with quantitative and analytical training in a high intensity environment. I worked with the security research team to provide accurate, effective and concise statistical data in order to support a research project and then follow them to learn how to analyze ten stocks.
As a joint-degree student (China/UK), I have the flexibility in both language and culture to operate successfully in many different contexts. Furthermore, My educational background in mathematic with finance, combined with my internship experiences, and has been excellent preparation for a career with Ipsos.
Please review the enclosed resume and references and consider my application for your team. I would appreciate the opportunity to talk to you and explore further how I may be of value to your team.
