Dear Hiring Manager,

I am seeking for a part- time cosmetics retail advisor position as the one listed on the Bloomingdales careers page. I am a double major in Business and Marketing and would appreciate an opportunity to display my entrepreneur skills at an elite store such as Bloomingdales. My involvement with my current web design company, Interactive Group has given me many opportunities to work in all aspects of a company such as, marketing, sales, client services, and finances. In addition to my experience as an intern, I have also worked as a beauty advisor with a previous cosmetics company and it would be my privilege to further display my knowledge and customer service skills in cosmetics at Bloomingdales.

Throughout the months of working at a previous cosmetics company, I mastered the ability to maintain client relationships. One of my main duties at work was to help clients find products that were specifically made to suit them. Working with Skin IQ’s and Color IQ’s, I have the experience to allow a client to feel that any product we sale can further enhance their beauty. There was a client with whom I maintained a very strong relationship with, a first time cosmetics buyer. I was able to help the client feel welcome to come in the store with any questions she may have had. By being able to communicate efficiently with clients, a relationship of trust is created. Thus, clients are not afraid to come back and try new things. With this particular client, she reached a level of VIP membership within just one month of shopping with the company. By expressing knowledge on various cosmetics products, this client felt safe and happy to try different products and having a friendly environment to shop in.
