As an ambitious and self motivated individual, with the determination to succeed in a career within the financial services sector, I had the opportunity to attend a J.P. Morgan Career Insight Day at Bournemouth University. Since the start of the recession in 2008, I realised investment banking is at the centre of global events ranging from political instability and natural disasters to anything that affects global markets and their behaviour.The dynamics of the job makes it challenging and exciting as no two days are the same because on a daily basis there are various things happening around the world that influences investment decisions.I am motivated by the prospect of expanding my knowledge and expertise of this dynamic industry at one of the best investment banks in the world.

Alongside my degree I work as a Deputy Manager, a role which has helped me developed excellent team working and management skills. I maintain overall responsibility for motivating and leading the team by example to ensure the achievement of company objectives and team goals. My management style is inclusive and I am a firm believer that it is vital to develop a strong team around me and aim to be open and transparent in all my dealings with colleagues and I have enjoyed great success in builiding productive relationships. Asa focused and diligent employee, I enjoy responsibility and can effectively prioritise and manage a demanding workload and team to ensure deadlines and high standards of service are met.
