Sample cover letter for Internship position at JP MORGAN

POSITION:

IB

Quantitative Trading has a very steep learning curve and I yearn to expound on it and take on new challenges. The module, Quantitative methods, that I am currently taking has given be a broad idea of theories relating to investment, such as deriving random variables, point estimation and probability theory. I desire to apply such quantitative methods to take advantage of an arbitrage situation. Through this experience, I wish to learn and acquire strong technical skills needed for trading, as well as creating the right mindset to remain calm and efficient under very high pressure. As such, I believe that this internship at Jane Street provides me with an invaluable opportunity to do so.
