I am writing in response to the recent vacancy posted on the JP Morgan careers website. I wish to express my interest in the Healthcare Analyst opening. As you will see from my CV, I recently finished my Master of Science in Physics at xxx and currently work with xxx reconciling Nostro accounts. While I appreciate everything that I have learned thus far in my current role I have had an interest in investment banking since my first year of university and wish to pursue a career in this area. My mixed background is advantageous because I am knowledgeable about financial concepts as well as highly numerate from studying physics. We all rely on each other to reconcile our respective accounts on time and accurately. During my time at the xxx I was responsible for strategy development and analysis of potential investments. This required close tracking of the credit markets, extensive financial modelling and analysis of a company's growth prospects, the risks associated with that company and the individual security that was to be purchased, as well as an opportunity to manage a portfolio of live money; a responsibility most have not borne, let alone successfully, at that age.
