Sample cover letter for Internship position at JPMorgan

I am a first-year student in Aeronautical Engineering at Imperial College London, and following a thorough reflection on where I would rather carry out an internship for a month this summer, I turned towards J.P.Morgan.

J.P.Morgan Chase &Co. is a truly established, well-rooted financial services leader, whether in investment banking, asset management, securities or more. Appearing in a time of intense and successive innovations in management thinking as American firms strived to set the standards for productivity, efficiency, quality of service and customer satisfaction, its methods and culture have since served as examples to its more recent counterparts.

Perseverant, enthusiastic, and eager to strive, I believe an internship in one of the world’s oldest banks would bring me some base knowledge of this exciting yet extremely challenging and strategy-requiring field of work. A field I am looking to battle and strive in, in later years. As a young man who tackles all arising challenges and problems with clear strategy and protocol, I am thrilled by this constantly active, fast-paced, vicious, and yet very awarding area of business governed by “give and take”.

For part of my later career, I would like to be working in the financial services sector, before turning myself to innovation in the domain of aeronautics and aerospace.

In addition, coupled with intense engineering work, general management studies this year have acquired me some concrete knowledge of the system, and encountering 19^th century management thinkers and leaders in innovation (from whom arose banks such ad J.P. Morgan), has further lit in me an interest in your bank.

Certain that a month-long internship this summer will help further my basic knowledge of business strategy, customer service, and business development, I wish to use my current skills, motivation and enthusiasm toward being some value-added to the company.
