I am writing to you to express my interest in joining your advisory unit. I feel that my excellent interpersonal and analytical skills coupled with my proven leadership qualities and strong work ethic will make me a great fit for your advisory team.

I have always had an interest in Risk and Management Consulting, and my degree has allowed me to further this interest. I particularly chose Finance and Econometrics units to complement my actuarial degree in order to have a deeper understanding of the financial world. In my third year, I completed assignments involving computation of superannuation using mortality tables and also derived models to track patterns in share prices using numerous softwares such as Eviews, Matlab, Stata and Excel. My final year project involved using Australian Mortality and Superannuation data to prepare actuarial valuations for pension plans, provide benefit costing analysis and provide actuarial advice. I am well on course for exemptions from several of the Institute’s exams and will be starting CFA as well
