Sample cover letter for Internship position at KPMG

POSITION:

SLP

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is XX and I am currently a second-year Music Performance major pursuing the Accounting minor at UCLA. I interested to participate in your Summer Leadership Program, Discover, to explore KPMG’s opportunities from an insider perspective. KMPG stands out as a firm that places emphasis on maintaining a high sense of professionalism and integrity within their work.

As a music student who wishes to pursue a career in public accounting, I believe that I am a well-rounded candidate with a variety of skills and experiences. Though majoring in an unrelated field to business, music has taught me how necessary time management skills are to accomplish a large list of tasks, ranging from individual instrumental practice to studying for management courses. Furthermore, it has allowed me to learn and adapt at a very fast pace, while teaching me the importance of leadership and how to be a role model, as I was given the responsibility to be the flute section leader. Now, I would like the opportunity to apply my knowledge and expertise to shape my professional accounting career. I am very excited to share how I will be a great fit for KPMG and exceed the firm’s expectations for success. Thank you for your time and your consideration.

Sincerely,

XX
