Re: Vocational Trainee programme with Commerzbank and Newton Assessment Management.

I would like to apply for the above position advertised by the Brokerage Citylink. I am seeking a challenging job in the banking or investment sector. I believe the Vocational Trainee programme will enable me to develop in both employment and academically. I intend to pursue my career in the business sector.

I see myself as a self-motivated individual who has the ability to work independently. I take pride to my job and have a disciplined approach to my work.

I am currently employed at a secondary school as a part-time teaching assistant and also as a student mentor. My role involves helping teachers with the class work and assisting students with their studies as well as running after school revision classes for the Key Stage 4 students. I help with ICT course work or help them to revise for their exams; I also help students with college applications and give them career advice on what other paths they could follow if they do not want to go into further education.

I also work as a Multi sports Coach for School Sport Partnership. My responsibilities as a sports coach are to deliver lessons such as kayaking, football, squash and basketball. I was recently asked by my line manager to take in charge of a team where they will compete in a multi sports event in April 2013. I have coached the primary school students for 2 months and managed to win gold medals in a basketball tournament, making my team the best basketball team in the borough. This achievement is something I am proud of.

I also work for a voluntary organisation as a mentor. My task is to help vulnerable young people who have been referred to us by London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The young people have many high risk issues attached to them, such as domestic violence, sexual assault and many other major factors that affect their lives.

In my opinion, accounting (finance) is the meaning of organisation, structure and a fundamental of every business. Account can be used in different parts of life, from the basic family to the biggest company of the world. All these points together make me feel confident that I could fulfil several roles in the area as I have the skills, knowledge and experience to be successful I believe I am capable of succeeding in this role.
