I completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree with majors in Finance & Accounting in University of Queensland and currently finished my Master of Finance degree in University of Melbourne. Over the course of my studies, I have acquired strong accounting and business analytical skills though coursework in business evaluation and analysis, and other accounting related areas. I achieved strong GPA in both undergraduate and postgraduate stages. In this capacity, I was nominated on the Dean’s Honour Roll for outstanding academic performance at bachelor level and achieved H2A at postgraduate level.

I have experienced many opportunities to work with a variety of financial and accounting institutions and have gained invaluable insight into the practice of this industry. I have two internship experiences in assurance department of PwC (Beijing). Due to my hard working and proved ability in accounting and excel skills, they offered me more challenging works, such as profit reconciliation analysis, which is supposed to be done by second year associate. This work also helped me develop the capability to make well considered finance decisions and build up my communication skills. In the end of internship, I was rated 5 out of 5 by my team members and highly recommended by team manager and partner to enter PwC after graduation.

In 2014, I was selected for the Global Business Practicum of Melbourne University and worked as an external consultant in American international Assurance (AIA), from which, I have learnt how to approach and tackle problems in a critical and efficient manner, and it further promoted my interpersonal and teamwork skills. As a student with both accounting and finance backgrounds, I proposed the overall project framework and contributed most of ideas and detailed solutions in assessing AIA’s routine performance, optimizing their assessment plan and recommending other appropriate internal control methods. I was granted scholarship for this project.

In University of Queensland, I demonstrated leadership ability by serving as a mentor for first year students and giving them advice on time management, course selection and was responsible for organizing activities. I have developed sound interpersonal and communication skills through mentor program and was rewarded certificate of appreciation for my contribution to UQ mentoring program in 2012.

Given my base of academic achievement, skills and working attitude, I believe I have the qualifications and enthusiasm that you are looking for. With an IELTS overall result of 7.5 and paraprofessional interpreter (Chinese-English) qualification, I am confident that my language skill can fully meet the requirement.
