I am a first year law student interested in applying for the summer intern position at Legal Aid Online. I am interested in this unique opportunity where I can leverage my past experience working with content developers and combine that with legal research and analysis.

Prior to law school, I was a business analyst at a management consulting firm where I worked with software and program developers in creating user friendly modules for clients across the nation. My work involved assessing the usability and interface features of online healthcare metrics compiled by various data sources to ensure their proper functionality. Additionally, my work also provided me with exposure to the privacy concerns surrounding healthcare data, particularly the impact of HIPAA in how confidential health information may be stored. I found the challenge of working in an environment where the effects of federal regulation had immediate impacts on the projects I was staffed on to be an interesting dynamic between content development and law.
