Sample cover letter for Internship position at M&A advisory Firm

POSITION:

M&A Internship

Dear Sir/Madame,

As I have recently graduated from my Bachelor’s studies at the University XXXX, I now thrive to acquire experience in the Corporate Finance sector. Especially its global reach and focus on many different industries are reasons why XXXX perfectly fits my personal aim to make a meaningful contribution in this business.

In the recent years I became fascinated by the complexity and dynamics by the Corporate Finance sector. The opportunity to develop financial strategies, creating individual solutions for financing questions as well as valuing companies with distinct business models aroused great interest in me. Hence, I welcome challenging these tasks along with a motivated and determined team in order to deliver a high-quality outcome to the client. Additionally, I value project-oriented, thus diverse workdays, as well as the comprehensive skills needed to master the stages of a transaction process.

Not only during my Bachelor, but also after graduating from the University of XXXX I gained first practical experience during several internships in finance related fields. At the XXXX I had the opportunity to be part of a M&A project and to develop strong understanding of DCF valuation. During my current internship I assist the Sales & Advisory team with its daily tasks and projects in a highly dynamic environment. Accordingly, I was not only taught how to deal with strict deadlines, but also to work more effectively.

Besides practical experiences and academic background, I am convinced that I meet the requirements for an internship in your firm due to my keen eye for detail, passion for teamwork and my high motivation.

I appreciate you considering my application and I look forward hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,

XXXXX
