Sample cover letter for Internship position at MPT

POSITION:

communication intern

GOT THE JOB? Yes

To whom it may concern,

I first learned about the Millennial Trains Project from a past participant. I was blown away by what MTP was doing to enable its participants to research and learn about the different communities and cultures that we live among with.

Frankly, “where I am from?” is one of the hardest questions to answer. Having lived in various places, I’ve always struggled to answer where I am really from. It was not until I watched the Ted talk of Taiye Selasi when I learned that I should be asking the question of “where are you a local?” – a question that shifts the intention to where the heart of our human experiences has occurred. This is what I believe the Millennial Trains Project enables: an experience for the participants to learn of these human experiences of different communities.

/.. experience etc.../

I am very thrilled at the possibility to be involved with the Millennial Trains Project and would love the opportunity to talk to you and discuss what values I could bring to the MTP.

I appreciate your consideration and look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
